At Burtonfields we think it is really important to give our couples exactly what they want, and we pride ourselves on giving each of our clients a bespoke offering that works best for them. This is the main reason we do not ‘package’ any of our food and drinks as these so called ‘packages’ are often restrictive and prescriptive and in essence do not represent the best value, but are useful in helping couples work out their final budget for their wedding.

What we do at Burtonfields is offer our entire drinks offering and discount any pre-ordered drinks, be they for the reception, wedding breakfast or even a cheeky cocktail hour. We do this not only to increase choice but to also increase transparency, so everyone knows exactly what they are paying for!

The downside of this is that it can make it more difficult to work out the cost of how much drinks might cost at Burtonfields in comparison to other venues. We’ve therefore drawn up some indicative prices of what you might expect to pay for typical reception and wedding breakfast drinks.

Reception

• Prosecco £480 or £8 per person. (2 glasses)
• French Sparkling £550 or £9.16 per person (2 glasses)
• Hybrid reception – A mix of Prosecco and Peroni £528 or £8.80 per person

Wedding breakfast

• Half bottle of wine of your choice per head – £480 – £720 or £8 – £12 per person

Toast Drink

• A glass of Prosecco per person £240 – £ 4 per person

From these prices you can see a good ball park figure for the cost of drinks for a wedding at Burtonfields can start at around £1200, but it all depends on what YOU want. Some people want cocktails at their reception, others shots rather than fizz for their toast!

The beauty of working with 5 fantastic caterers is that more or less every culinary desire can be catered for. This inevitably means there are fluctuations in what people pay. From sharing boards to 3 course wedding breakfasts to Asian inspired 10 course banquets the price paid by our couples can be anywhere between £50 and £100 per head.

£50-£100 per head would include:

• Canapés at reception
• 3 course wedding breakfast either in a traditional format or a more casual sharing format
• Evening food

If we take a median average price of £75 per head a good ballpark figure for:

• 50 guests = £3750
• 60 guests = £4500
• 76 guests = £5700

However, it could be more or less depending on what you want to eat on your wedding day!
